2027 Wedding Trends: Designing a "Citrus Glow" Celebration in Manchester, NH

Vibrant marigold styling and custom, colorful swooping draping completely transform the main gallery.

The landscape of wedding and event design is beautifully evolving. While timeless black, white, and muted tones will always have a place, today's couples are bravely stepping into a world of bolder color. As we begin to see 2027 wedding trends there is no shortage of color and big patterns.

In January,  wedding and event designer Amanda, at Moments to Remember partnered with us on The Citrus Glow event alongside an incredible team of vendors to show our couples and clients how no matter the time of the year, you can have color in the space

How to Master the Citrus Wedding Trend for 2027

The goal was to create a space that feels like pure sunshine, regardless of the New England weather, because we all know, New England weather is so unpredictable!  Whether you are looking for an industrial wedding venue in Manchester, NH, or a unique space near Boston, this guide explores how to master the bold, colorful shift in wedding design.

To achieve this bold colorful wedding and event design in New Hampshire, we took down our built in white drapery, allowing the ceiling to transform into a sun burst of color full of marigold, coral, and shades of pink.

By using colors that sit as neighbors on the color wheel, you create a visual "glow" that feels seamless and high-fashion rather than chaotic. This technique is becoming a staple for 2027 wedding trends, inviting guests to feel the warmth of the day from the moment they arrive.

Textures like tailored paper goods and vibrant, sun-drenched florals can transform your tablescape.

Color and Texture Come To Life At Our Industrial Wedding Venue

One of the biggest shifts in modern wedding design is the move away from one-dimensional, “flat” aesthetics. In a historic mill or blank canvas wedding venue in New Hampshire, couples have the freedom to embrace bold color without competing against busy carpets, dated wallpaper, or traditional décor.

A clean industrial backdrop allows every design choice to feel intentional. Instead of blending into the space, color becomes part of the story.

When you start with a blank canvas venue, the magic happens through layering.

For this “Citrus Glow” wedding design, Amanda combined vibrant color with rich texture to create a space that felt immersive and energetic without overwhelming the industrial setting.

Layering bright citrus centerpieces and a subtle yellow-striped linen against the crisp white walls creates a bright, breezy reception look that makes the whole space glow from noon to sunset.

Design Details That Brought the Vision to Life

  • Butter-yellow striped linens from Peak Event Rentals added movement and warmth to the reception tables.

Pairing a bold, yellow-striped tablecloth with vibrant ombré napkins instantly softens the space, bringing a breezy, high-energy warmth that bridges the gap between modern design and historic details.

  • Woven rattan chargers and raw cotton napkins grounded the brighter citrus tones with natural texture.

Grounding a vibrant, high-energy palette starts with texture. Woven rattan chargers add an organic, earthy element to the tablescape, perfectly balancing the bright ombré linens and striped tablecloths to create a modern reception look that feels warm, intentional, and entirely sophisticated.

  • Lotus Floral Design incorporated sliced grapefruit and limes directly into the floral arrangements, creating a multi-sensory guest experience with fresh citrus scents throughout the room.

Blending whimsical, reaching stems with structured blooms like coral gerbera daisies, sunset roses, and pops of textured yellow mimosa creates an organic look that feels effortless.

  • Color-changing marquee lights transformed the lounge and bar areas into playful, high-energy selfie moments.

These oversized, luminous marquee letters anchor the dance floor and echo the vibrant, playful mood under our custom draping—proving that your reception styling can be as bold and memorable as your love story.

The custom white typography printed directly onto the glass adds a clean, modern touch that feels incredibly playful and perfectly carries the citrus theme from cocktail hour right into the reception.

Extending the Citrus Glow Experience Beyond Just Color and Textures

The sensory storytelling continued through the food, drinks, and entertainment.

Espresso Dave, Celebrations Catering, and Graze and Go NH carried the citrus-inspired palette into the guest experience with vibrant cocktails, fresh citrus flavors, and colorful pancake bar

Meanwhile, live saxophone performances by Piano 2 the Max  layered over DJ sets from Doucette DJ Entertainment, creating an atmosphere that felt modern, immersive, and full of energy.

Bringing the party to life. Nothing matches the high-energy vibe of a vibrant reception like live music.

Focused Maximalism: High-Impact Decor for Large Spaces

For the 2027 season, we are championing Focused Maximalism. This is the art of choosing high-impact moments that define the entire experience rather than cluttering every surface. In a large, industrial wedding venue, this ensures your vision doesn't get lost in the architecture.

To maximize your visual ROI, focus on these areas:

  1. The "Sky" of the Room: Use the venue's height with architectural draping and warm-toned lighting (we recommend Premier Lighting of New England) to create an intimate canopy.

  2. The Tablescape: Prioritize long, lush runs of color that draw the eye down the length of our 1904 mill building.

  3. Sensory Experiences: Incorporate interactive elements like a pancake grazing cart from Graze and Go NH or a custom espresso bar with Espresso Dave.
